Scotty Girl was born to a wild feline at C & W before our sanctuary was even a ‘vision’ or a thought. She has some unmentionable nicknames and is our ‘bully cat” picking on the BIG boys along with Sugar Babe. She walks the log beams up high in our ceiling and can be friendly when she chooses.
Kita and her feline family would have been left homeless as their person was dying of cancer and needed to find a permanent place for her felines to live out their lives. Many were not tame and Kita has
come a long way in that department over the years. She cautiously enjoys being petted but is a special little lady.
Gorgeous George has resided many of his years at C & Wand is one happy camper. He has some behavioral issues, but we don’t mind. He is a lover and quite the ham when a camera is seen. He enjoys lounging atop the cupboards in The Kat Barn.
Callie was living in a car with her companion who was homeless. The temperatures were in the 100’s F. and her person was living in a motel room, thanks to a church who was helping him. He was desperate
to help these animals, as he could not take them into the hotel room. We rescued Calie and Susie Q and they reside in The Kitty Kottage
Chaz came from a farm one late fall as the people didn’t want him to be cold. He was born wild and is still a bit so. He would have gone back to the farm in the spring except the people mentioned how their dog like to chase and kill cats and kittens, sooooo he STAYED! That was that. You may pet him, but not too long. He adores the other felines and those are his best buddies.
Taffy Cat came to C & W after living alone in a home when her person died suddenly during a routine surgery. She stayed alone for a year until the estate was settled and came to C & W a happy camper to again have something to do and loved the other cats immediately. She has asthma and allergies and has to have frequent medical treatments but she doesn’t mind one bit.
Sugar Babe is ‘tough cat’ in the household. She is sweet as sugar but loves to ‘intimidate’ the ‘big guys’ in the house. AND I mean BIG guys-25 pounder Cotton cowers and runs at her ‘look’. Sugar Babe is a ‘con artist’ and a charmer along with casting her evil eye to play her ‘I scare you’ games!
‘Babette’s the name, what ya gonna do about it!’ Our Babette was rescued from a pet store when she was abandoned on their doorstep and was found to be definitely not adoptable as she is a biter and can be aggressive. You have to know Babette cause she can be as sweet as can be to those of us who have gotten to know her.
Lover of catnip, our Smokey thinks he’s a ‘dog’ most days, but is
loveable and left homeless when his person died.
Nanny also lost her home to flood waters which left her and her feline friends homeless. She is a bit on the ‘wild side’ but resides at C & W and would like to have you sponsor her.
