Support a Furpal – Comet

open house comet 002
Comet was found by the Comet Football Field in a nearby city. When he was taken to the humane society he tested positive for FIV and was sitting quietly in his cage one day when I went there with a friend who was adopting a kitty. I saw the sign on his cage that read FIV kitty and I opened it up and Comet threw his paws around my neck and gave me a big hug…….AND, YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY..  He will give you a hug if you visit, too.

Sponsor a Furpal – Paullie

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

PaulliePaullie came to us as a young kitten. I was riding home with a  person who was delivering a lot of scratching posts for the kitties. We were about a half mile from our home, and, in the middle of the road…..stood Paullie. All kitten but tall and proud. He ran to the side of the road and we were aways up the road when we stopped. It was a very cold wintery day and when I called ‘kitty’, he looked up and ran as fast and hard as he could up the middle of the road while I prayed no one would come around the curve at that moment.  They didn’t, he leapt into my arms and that was that. His feet were frost bitten and he had coccidious…but in time, he healed and became strong and well and he found his ‘forever home’ with us.

Sponsor a Furpal – Chaz

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Chaz came from a farm one late fall as the people didn’t want him to be cold. He was born wild and is still a bit so. He would have gone back to the farm in the spring except the people mentioned how their dog like to chase and kill cats and kittens, sooooo he STAYED! That was that. You may pet him, but not too long. He adores the other felines and those are his best buddies.

Sponsor a Furpal – Babette

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

‘Babette’s the name, what ya gonna do about it!’ Our Babette was rescued from a pet store when she was abandoned on their doorstep and was found to be definitely not adoptable as she is a biter and can be aggressive. You have to know Babette cause she can be as sweet as can be to those of us who have gotten to know her.

Sponsor A Furpal – Belle

Our Miss Belle is the only kitty at C&W that has a ‘private room’ of her own! She expects that! She will mingle with the other ‘cats’, but is definitely not “one of those creatures”.

She sees herself as the queen and insists on us letting her in and out of her room at her bidding. She will NOT use the ‘public bathroom’ (litter boxes).

She was left without a home when her person died and is a very special little lady. Just ask her!
