As I have said many, many times... It is our staff, our 'family' of caregiver specialists, who make C & W's Rustic Hollow Shelter what it is today. The quality of care of the felines in residence depends on them. The health of the felines in residence depend on their ability to spot a feline in their area who has any health issues starting. The cleanliness and sanitation of the cat's houses depend on them. AND, most importantly, the quality of care they give in love to their small 'charges' is of the utmost importance. The fringe benefits are also many: from volunteering their time to better their building to handling minor repairs and major projects and remodeling.... our staff is invaluable. They strive for teamwork. That is what it is all about. We have a strong team in 2018. And in 2019 we truly have a GREAT CAREGIVER TEAM with a very strong core team to manage staff, supplies, payroll and more. Way to go Rustic Hollow!!!
DANNIELLE VANBROCKLIN (and Bandit)
We welcomed Dannielle to our R. Hollow team in January 2017. She stopped working later in the year and started again in December of 2018. We are glad she is back.
GINA DEVRIES (with Princess Pyewacket)
Gina started working for Rustic Hollow in January of 2018. One of her first comments was "I don't like cats-I'm a dog person.' Well, she has proved herself wrong on that statement. She had never been around cats, just dogs. She is totally convinced now she has 'joined the club' of crazy cat lovers at Rustic Hollow and has a way with several of the feral cats who Gina is now able to touch and has gained their trust. In January 2019, Gina was promoted to a Team Leader (volunteer) position. She is in charge of Team Building/Motivation and when she notices good work being done she acknowledges it and several of our staff have received recognition already in 2019.
Shelli began working at Rustic Hollow in May of 2018 and experience working in several buildings at Rustic Hollow. In January of 2019 Shelli takes on the responsibility of being one of our Team Leaders. She is our Staff Coordinator and helps oversee staff schedules and helps with supervision on weekends or as needed. She is our 'go-to' person when staff have problems and need help with a solution. She is an all round cat person and is pictured here with her shoulder cat Callie.
