We are seeking more monthly sponsors of the felines. Actual cost to maintain one feline per month is $38.50. Sponsorships for one feline is $20, $35 for two felines, and $50 for three cats. For your feline “Adoptee” sponsorship, you receive updates and photos of your feline and our newsletter published four times a year. If you are not currently on our mailing list, drop us a line and add your name to our distribution.
Your contributions and support helps immensely with our sanctuary expenses. The operational costs are $8,000 monthly with an additional $840 per month for repairs and miscellaneous expenses. Vaccinations are around $600 annually.
A more detailed breakdown reflects 500 pounds of dry cat food weekly, 160 cases of canned food per month, 800 pounds of scoopable litter is used each week (close to 38,400 pounds per year), and 437.5 pounds of clay litter is used each month (around 5,250 pounds per year),and an average of $81 for vaccinations monthly. Basic electricity runs $400-$600 (depending on the season & temperature) and maintenance and repairs may cost up to $200 monthly.
Many items are donated and are well appreciated: blankets, toys, pillows, bedding, cleaning supplies, etc. Our annual operating budget is around $100,000. Cost per month, per cat, is approximately $38.50.
