Meet The Team

Executive Director
Keisha Stough
Keisha started working for Rustic Hollow when she was 15 years old, then went on after graduation to continue her career in the animal field training with multiple veterinarians and working at a nearby humane society as a medical technician. In 2008 she took on the job of lead Med Tech and worked up to Staff Supervisor in 2018. At the same time she was also working part-time for several years as a receptionist at a local tattoo studio. In 2021 she is now the current Executive Director of Rustic Hollow Shelter and manages all the staff, payroll, inventory/ordering, newsletter publications and MUCH more. She is also President of our Board of Directors since 2019. In 2024 Keisha will be celebrating 16 years with our sanctuary. Keisha has had MANY favorite felines throughout the years, but has a soft spot for the following furrballs: Soup(BB), Cosmo, Sachi, Marius, Dunkin and Baby Lisa to name a few. She enjoys attending LIVE music with her partner Josh and his band Grave Corps, as well as tattoo 'therapy' sessions, nature hikes, anything spooky, visiting new places (recent trip to New Orleans October 2023), and anything involving animals (cats especially!) She is pictured with her bottle baby 'Ollie' whom she rescued at just 1 week old, he is now 8 years young. She has 3 cats of her own at home (all rescues): Ollie, Dax, and Tonka.

Staff Supervisor & Med Tech
Brandy Hudson
Brandy joined our team in February of 2018 and quickly learned almost all of the names of the cats in her care. She has a few favorites like Jager (pictured with), Allister, Luca, Bruce, Punkin, and Coraline. In January of 2019, Brandy became a Team Leader in the position of 'Cat Care Specialist'. Armed with her notebook she keeps track of kitties who need medical attention, grooming, etc. and if staff have a kitty who needs care, Brandy is the 'go-to' person. Brandy was promoted to Med Tech in 2019 and not only checks cats but assists our Director & shelter Vet with medicines and treatments of all the cats. She has four cats of her own: Bella, Charles, Thomas, and the newest rescue Milton. In 2021 she was again promoted and is now Supervisor of our caregiver team and still Med Tech. In her free time she enjoys nature walks, camping, foraging, collecting rocks & crystals, and attending LIVE music! Brandy is also our feral 'cat whisperer'.

Caregiver
Angela Herman
My name is Angela and I've been a member of the Rustic Hollow family for about 20 years. I started in 2001 as one of 3 caregivers for over 400 cats and 3 resident dogs. Back then we only had the Kitty Kottage and the Barn. I was also here when Apollo's house was trucked in in 2004 to where it is now! That was a sight to see and an awesome addition! We finally had a building with running water and even a bathroom and laundry room on that side of the creek!
Shortly after Apollo's House arrived, I moved to Arizona. I came back in 2007 though and again worked for C & W until early 2008. I'm excited to be back with Rustic Hollow and even more excited with how much it's evolved! Angela is pictured with Max a staff favorite in Bradley's.

Caregiver
JoAnna Byers (DoDo)
Dodo is one our our animal caregivers, and has been with Rustic Hollow for a few years now! She loves the kitties and has many favorites (like we all do!) She works a second full-time job also, so we are thankful she still finds the time to care for all the Rustic Hollow felines each weekend.

Caregiver
Tony Headspeth
Tony started in the winter of 2021. He has always enjoyed the company of cats and other animals and feeds some neighborhood strays. He says "out of all the jobs I have ever had working at the sanctuary is by far my favorite. I appreciate Rustic Hollow for giving me a chance to do something that I enjoy. Although I'm older now, I'm having fun in my life and working here." His favorites are: Carly, Twilight, and Carmen. Tony also has two dogs at home: Zane (choc. lab), Cody (long-haired dachshund), and Minnie & Mally the cats. In his free time he enjoys sports and exercising. He is one hard working guy, and we are thankful to have him on our team.

Caregiver
Kiarra Mashek
Kiarra joined our team in 2021. She loves the cats and has cats of her own including a special-needs CH kitty named Sven, as well as two others: Oreo, & Gypsy. Kiarra also has a Red Ear Slider pet turtle named Farfincouger (Farf). She has also painted many shelter buildings! Including murals in Kitty Kottage and the Kitty Kabin. She has a few favorite felines like Roundhouse, Bubbles, and Goat. Here she is pictured with some kitty residents of Bradley's. Outside of work she has several interests including: art, music, hair & makeup as well as crystal & rock hunting. She also does a pretty spot on impression of Chewbacca from Star Wars!

Caregiver
Des Hahn
Des started Rustic Hollow in the Spring of 2023. She enjoys learning all the personalities of our residents. Cat cuddles are also a bonus. She has several kitty favorites including Vincent, Maya, Henry, Mabel, and Miss Cricket. Des enjoys multiple interests outside of work such as painting & creating art, horror movies, theatre, baking, photography, tattoos and more! During the fall months Des works as a 'scare actor' with The Heart Of Darkness, which is a local haunted scare attraction during the Halloween Season. She can also make balloon animals...in the dark! (thanks to this haunt season.) In August 2023, Des painted our 'second chance at a lifetime' mural in upstairs Bradley's Building. If you visit, be sure to check it out! She also has 2 felines at home: Gibbous (Gibby) a rescue, & June Bug (Bug) a kitty that enjoys eating...you guessed it, bugs!

Caregiver
Chad Rich
Chad started working at C&W back in 2006. In his own words: "I found the job in the newspaper over the summer and decided to stop out and talk to them about the job. I was 12 years old when I first started. When I started they had me sift the litters in all the buildings and carry around fresh litter. I still do that today, along with any other maintenance. They call me the 'Weekend Warrior' at C&W shelter because I work only on the weekends as I have another job during the week. I really enjoy working at C&W and everyone is so friendly and most of the cats are friendly too and love the attention. Over the past 17 years I have meet a lot of new people who have worked there and I am glad I can still be apart of their team." Chad is pictured with his 2 year old daughter Ellie.

Caregiver
Justin Odom
Justin started in the Fall of 2023 along with another caregiver. He really enjoys working with the cats. He also has a few favorites: Cricket, Wally, Virgo, Potato, & Jumper. Justin says he enjoys the work environment Rustic Hollow provides for the cats as well as the staff. Everyone is great! He has one pet at home, an American Bully/Pitbull mix named Blaze. During his free time Justin enjoys working on cars, and playing video games. He also is mechanically inclined, which will come in handy one day, as his dream car is a 2006 Pontiac GTO.
